Weekend Workout

Strategy and planning is out the window, I just grab the opportunity to workout when they come around. On this occasion I put in 3 rounds on the bag before a circuit of weights and HIIT full body moves.

Another workout

At this point I have lost track of my workouts this year, as there’s been a few since the last one I uploaded. I do not feel like I am making progress to be honest. I am going sideways at best because my diet has been pretty poor. That’s been out of my control in…

Workout #6

It feels milder, there were moments in this session when I was down to one layer on top. I felt powerful and energetic, and yet mildly depressed at how tubby I look in the video. I keep reminding myself that “the camera adds 10lbs”. Seems more like 20 here… 😦

Workout #5 (2024)

I didn’t get around to uploading anything from workout #4 but I squeezed in workout #5 on a Sunday, giving me plenty of time to park evidence online. This has been my most relaxed weekend of the year so far. No doubt a calm before the next storm!

Workout #3 of 2024

Is this momentum? It’s too early to say but there’s no harm in hoping. It’s heartbreaking how much strength I have lost since I was last in great shape a few years ago. It’s been a defining feature of my 30s and 40s, getting is great shape only to give it up for reasons beyond…

Finally did some exercise in 2024!

The start of 2024 has left me kind of speechless to be honest. It has been BRUTAL in ways that I could not have anticipated. 2023 was no cakewalk – it was stressful and high pressure – but it was under control and I passed the baton to 2024 with a note saying “nothing to…

Rocky Horror

It’s felt like a long time coming, my girlfriend of 20 years ago was obsessed with this raunchy musical. Back then it was 30 years old, now it’s a geriatric at 50! It hasn’t aged a day though, naughty British comedy-cum-farce at its finest.

London (visit #1 2024)

I attended a course of AI in teaching and learning and enjoyed some city time whilst I was at it. The January sales still had a bit to offer so I loitered around the West-End for a couple of hours on Sunday 21st.

Birthday weekend

It already feels like a lifetime ago but it’s only 3 odd weeks (I’m doing a bit of catch up). I’ve rediscovered a love of ice skating so that was a highlight, asides cake and a re-production of Christmas dinner (which like a pet, isn’t only for Christmas).
