Normal ride, normal pace, it’s just important to get out there.
40 is a milestone that makes you think about your own mortality that bit more than in years prior. Statistically it’s about the half way point; in socioeconomic terms it’s summer but physiologically, it feels like early autumn.
You’ve got to cling onto summer as long as you can, bearing in mind that slow decline is the natural order of things from now on.
If taking care of yourself hasn’t been the priority up to now it’s time to make it so. I’m preaching to myself here because I’ve failed in the last year – a situation I’m looking to fix as soon as possible.
