40.

As with last year I made a fuss of my best friend’s birthday, us happy singles have to have eachother’s back at birthday and Christmas time. Had a great day myself, hard not to when it includes gifts, a traditional English breakfast, a safari park and a roast dinner with Champagne. πΎπ₯

Cat’s Birthday

You heard it here first, my little pal became a world wary 6 year old on Thursday 6th May πΎπ As well as serving his favourite meal I bought him what I’m sure every cat wants: a statue to guard his outdoor den and keep evil spirits at bay! I’ve been getting more lap time…

Keeping it fresh

Fresh herbs are a great way to add flavour to clean eating, which explains why I’ve spent a portion of the last 3 days assembling and painting my Vegtrug herb planter. Bring on the basil, rosemary, sage, etc etc

It’s the best metaphor for life…

… Google Pics regularly sends me “this time last year” or “this time two years ago” photo montages, and it humours me how predictable I am. The day after I layed fresh grass seed this year I got such a montage which showed how I did the same job on exactly the same day 2…

Small pleasures

BBC Interview

My day job is to design and deliver classes on work and organisation and I enjoy this a great deal. In my eyes work is fascinating because so much of human life, meaning, identity and status is connected to work. We often spend more time “at work” than we do with our families, we may…

Cheeky rabbit

In the last year my cat has gradually moved into my office, making it his primary bedroom. He’ll occasionally wake up and demand attention, food or water but he’s well behaved for the most part. Here’s a sleepy fight with my TV remote, a pretty typical respite from homeworking.

Blossom

My cherry tree has been in the ground for a few years now. It produced its first two cherries last year and I felt like one of life’s big winners. ππ The adult trees in the no man’s land over my fence are coming to life too. My cat waits for me in a shroud…
