Since arriving as an employee in the heart of London’s financial district I have done little more than catch a tube into Old Street, walk 5 minutes to the office and then do the reverse to get home. My office might as well be in Slough, Swindon or anywhere else because I’ve ignored its surroundings.
It’s all been for good reasons, I have started a new job and moved house (renting). I have also bought a house (more on that soon), so romcom like social media montages have hardly been a priority.
Still, I was in the City on the day that may prove to be the last of summer. The weather was gorgeous, and 100s of people spilled onto the streets around popular City pubs.
I went for a long walk, capturing the day and the moment.
