Why can’t I spend more time doing this: working out

One of the challenges we all wrestle with is what to prioritise. By definition you cannot prioritise everything, although it’s hard to miss the societal pressure to be perfect in every domain.

In the abstract we know that health and wellbeing should be our priority. Our loved ones and dependents cannot depend on us otherwise, whilst our quality of life is intrinsically linked to health foundations.

So why does it so easily slip through the net? Get crowded our by other things? Why is wellbeing so difficult, even when our employers are proudly shouting about their wellbeing policies and work-life balance cultures?

There are simple and complex answers, and the frustration of living with relative failure may prove a permanent life feature. Hopefully this will not transpire to be the case.
