Never Enough Time: enjoying the local park

Yesterday I managed to swing by my local park, seeking to follow through on a typical summer commitment to cycle rather than drive when running chores. In a truly impressive act of idiocy I locked my bike outside the doctors, only to realise that I had the wrong key for the lock. I therefore had to walk home, although I got to enjoy the park in slow(er) motion so it was perhaps a blessing is disguise.

A perk of living somewhere nice is that nice parks are usually part of the deal. That said, it costs to live somewhere nice so you need to enjoy the local features because you’re paying for them. On this count I’ve failed for much of my seven years in Droitwich. The “little things” like walks down the canal, in the countryside or at the park have been far too rare.

Hopefully I can get this right in the next chapter…

p.s., watch out for “heavy plants”!
