I’m no stranger to life on the road, having had a part-time driving job (amongst others) during my PhD. At this point in my life and career I am growing accustomed to an alternate digital version of work whilst wondering. Why not get about? For much of my time a laptop, smart phone and WIFI connection are the only requisites of my trade.
I had to be in Glasgow for work reasons and visited the charming city-centre campus of GCU as part of this. However, for much of the visit I was working on the move, hitting the front streets and back streets of Glasgow – a city I love. I was there a year ago pretty much to the day and relished a return visit.
I also set up a mobile office on a Flixbus, who provided me with a return trip to Inverness for an astonishing £4! For this modest fee I got to see the Cairngorms and the river Ness. I also got see to Ben Macdui, the second tallest peak in Britain behind Ben Nevis.
Scotland is truly stunning – I remain hopeful of spending some portion of my life there.
Before that I am returning to London after a 13 year absence…

Keep an eye out for a monster…
