Like most men of a certain age I don’t make a fuss about my birthday. This one is special though for two key reasons:
1. I’ve got a new job! It has real dream job potential, being based at an elite institution that also happens to be my local university (so it’s practical). I will be teaching in my specialist area too, which also happens to be the most interesting one that’s subject to study under the roof of a business school.
2. I’ve got a new punch bag! If anything has been missing from my life it is this. I had one at my teenage family home and it served as the centerpiece for great home workouts. This bag will do the same for me now, I cannot wait…
