The debut week of my summer diet was only 4 days long, serving as a test-of-concept. Initial results have been excellent, better than expected. I’m 6lbs lighter than my start weight against the backdrop of a 9,500 calorie deficit.
On one day of four hunger chased me for a significant portion of the day, but on the others I was fine – just the odd twinge.
The food didn’t seem any more or less dull than any other diet I have applied. As ever I felt a sense of nutritional virtuousness which helped. When I felt fatigued at the prospect of another “perfect” meal I visualised the end goal and found various other ways to put a positive spin on things.
